We drove up to the town of Waterville, part of the Ring of Kerry, and had lunch at The Lobster, which was overpriced. Here we bought a traditional wholegrain brown soda bread, a turnover and an apple danish. The brown bread crust tasted like the pretzel biscuits. The turnover had a really soft and fluffy texture. We waited outside Wetherspoons for it to open for breakfast. Fifteen minutes later dad discovered that we were waiting at the wrong entrance. The receptionist at the hotel recommended a pub just 100m down the road called O’Sheas if we wanted to sample Irish fare.
