The receptionist at the hotel recommended a pub just 100m down the road called O’Sheas if we wanted to sample Irish fare. I had Irish lamb stew with root vegetables (€10.25), A2 got spicy vegetables in an Irish pancake (€9.50), dad had a confit leg of duck with red wine jus (€10.25) and mum had leek and onion soup with wholemeal bread and meatloaf with potato and onion mash, veggies and onion rings and a cup of tea (all for €9.95). The food was really good. The bread was dense; almost like cake.
