Toasta & Co

Especially when the weather turns cold, sometimes there’s nothing like a warm toasted sandwich to warm your belly. Toasted sandwiches aren’t just for kids. The Toasta food truck has been delivering toasties full of tasty, top quality ingredients into our eager hands, and have now opened a brick-and-mortar store in North Melbourne.

The colourful, psychedelic monster cartoon wallpaper splashed across the wall injects a sense of warmth and fun into the room. All their toasties have a double layer of cheese, each slice sandwiching the other ingredients to get a good infusion of cheesy goodness. Zeally Bay sourdough is coated in butter, or duck fat for extra. They’ve have been given real names, mostly based on their ingredients. There’s the Tommy with tomato, Greg with egg, the Rami with pastrami. The Russell has cheese, roasted brussel sprouts and bacon jam.
