Always popular on Instagram for its monstrous freakshakes, Three One 2 One has just undergone both a facelift and a menu change. The new range of freakshakes includes Kiss Me Softly, one of the tamer-looking options with Bacio ice cream, crumbled cookies, Oreos, and a mini classic almond ice cream. It has a nice consistency, not being too thick or thin, and unlike many freakshakes nowadays, it actually tastes good.
The Mac Oink Slow is a decadent toastie filled with pork shoulder, mac n cheese, three types of cheese (Tasty, mozzarella, and Swiss), and Jack Daniels No 7 smokey BBQ sauce. Sweet and most definitely cheesy, you won’t go hungry with this one.
We add a jalapeno and cheese croquette into our Richmond Hill Classic. The combination of juicy beef patty, Swiss cheese, pickles, 3121 mayo and onion is simple but satisfying. The textures meld together with the almost-all-cheese croquette – no potato, as I’d originally thought. Cheese lovers will love this oozy add-on.
Jack da Rippa is my pick of the mains today, coming with red cabbage slaw, Jack Daniels crispy fried chicken, bacon, red onion, pickles, aioli, and a red brioche bun. Paired with the crunchy and juicy fried chicken, the pickles provide a good lift, and the Jack Daniels sauce is only slightly sweet.
One of the best loaded chips I’ve had to date, the Chicken Carbonara fries come topped with grilled chicken breast, crispy bacon, grilled mushrooms, creamy carbonara sauce, green pepper, and spring onion. The chips are crunchy, the toppings are super tasty, and the combination is particularly good with the kick of the pepper.
Although Three One 2 One’s freakshakes and monster burgers seem to get all the attention, don’t skip on the sides, which are just as worth trying.
