We happened to be in the area so we thought we’d try out some of Le Petit Gateau’s famed cakes. The two showcase cakes we chose were the Hazelnut Millefeuille and the Brownie and Passionfruit Chocolate Gâteau.

Hazelnut Millefeuille

I enjoyed the millefeuille more than the brownie passionfruit gateau because of its more complex texture and my love of nuts. This isn’t to say there was anything wrong with the brownie and passionfruit gateau; it wasn’t overly rich or dense, with the light and tangy passionfruit flavour cutting through.
