Enter Neighbour is an unpretentious and community-focused cafe conveniently located near both tram and train.
Thin and crunchy Potato Hash is topped with sautéed greens and crisp fried brussels sprouts. Salsa verde and chilli bring some extra freshness. The greens could do with a touch more salt, but our addition of smoked salmon helps bring things into balance. On the other hand is the much richer King Truffle. The Swiss brown, baby king oyster mushrooms and spinach are cooked till tender, and the white truffle and porcini cream is certainly tasty and the lightly toasted bread soaks up all the goodness.
One of their most popular items is the Nanban Chicken, which comes with Forbidden black rice, gribiche dressing, peas, pickled cabbage and crispy shallots. The chicken has a sticky and slightly sweet coating, and there’s plenty of chilli to make for quite a lively and flavoursome dish.
We were thoroughly impressed with the moreish dishes we tried at Enter Neighbour. They’ve also recently started trading on Friday and Saturday nights, and once the courtyard is fully complete, it will be a great place to enjoy the warmer weather.
