The Aylesbury has recently been transformed into Bomba, a casual tapas bar. Although mum was sorely tempted by the paella on offer, we all ordered the Workers Lunch, which included a choice of tapas, raciones and side dish. We started off with some lovely crispy, dense and warmed sourdough with olive oil. The Chicken, Manchego and Smoked Paprika Croqueta was crunchy and tasty, but the highlight for me was the Charcoal Grilled Corn w. I thought Bayte warranted a second visit, so I came with A2 at 12pm so we had the option of both breakfast and lunch items. My Samak Nayeh (raw yellowfin tuna kibbeh, $16) was refreshingly citrusy and accompanied with thin, crispy flatbread and labne. Within the kibbeh was burghal, onions, mint and spices. Had the opportunity to try All Day Burger today. I just had their regular burger with free range beef pattie, cheese, lettuce, tomato and their special mayonnaise ($8). Other options included double meat, veggie burger and a special of the day, which was chorizo-flavoured chicken. French fries were also available. The pattie had some good flavours, though mine wasn't particularly juicy. There was also a low bread to filling ratio so the burger wasn't as moist as it could have been. I went to Curtin House rooftop in the hopes that Beatbox Kitchen Rooftop was still open, but at the moment the rooftop is home to All Day Burgers. I've decided that my taste buds aren't all that excited by beef, mustard and pickles so if I eat a burger like that I have to know it's something special before I try it. When the Mr Burger food truck is at Therry St it can be found in a laneway across the road from the Queen Vic Deli. The menu is simple, having only three burger options: Mr Burger, Mr Meat and Mr Veg. The Mr Burger comes with a beef pattie, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mustard, mayo and tomato sauce.
