Reunions call for celebrations, and celebrations over food are always up my alley. So we found ourselves at Miss Fitzy's: a bar and restaurant on Fitzroy Street, right near the beach. The menu at Miss Fitzy's focuses on bar snacks, sharing plates and shared mains, though there are a few individual mains available also. Mexican food has been popular in Melbourne for quite a while now, though typical Tex-Mex cuisine is the form that's more prevalent here, particularly at fast food outlets. I had a bit more time to spare during my lunch break today and thought I'd venture down to the city to try out some of Kuni's lunch specials. There were so many tempting choices, but I eventually settled on the sushi lunch set. The lunch set included an appetiser (today it was pickled bean sprouts and carrot), miso soup and chawanmushi. Zaza's is just off the quiet end of Bridge Road. Mum and I dropped in for their Kitchen Table Lunch buffet.
