We arrived at around 10:30am on a weekday, and despite the cloudy and slightly drizzly weather, it was quite busy. I ordered the Dukkah eggs - mushrooms, spinach, feta with poached eggs and dukkah on multigrain sourdough bread ($15.5). Tasty mushroom plus runny eggs and good bread made this dish quite enjoyable. Bluebird Espresso was listed in Epicure as serving the best smashed avocado in Melbourne. Since it’s on the way to uni I thought I’d pop in to see how it was. The avocado pieces were quite large and more chopped than smashed, but I’m not fussy.
