After some unexpected delays, Frankie Says is finally open for business. Part of the new, aptly named Sanctuary apartment complex, it's hidden away, right by the Yarra with pleasant and peaceful view of both trees and water. There's plenty of outdoors seating under the cover of umbrellas, and the interior features high-ceiling solid timber pillars, white washed timber, striking pendant lights and full-height glass windows to allow plenty of light in.   [caption id="attachment_10775" align="aligncenter" width="800"] Antipasto - Bocconcini, Semi Sundried Tomatoes, Speck Prosciutto, Bresaola, Sopressa Salami, Giardiniera, Marinated Olives,...

Jinda Thai has a strong reputation for affordable and tasty Thai food and it was time to see what the fuss was about. The tables are very close together and even small tables are aligned to make a sort of communal table. I guess they really have to maximise the space to accommodate the crowds! Perusing the menu, I was drawn to the the boat noodles and the som tum with soft shell crab, and not just because they're popular dishes. I chose beef to go with the boat...

One of the first things I noticed when I walked in was its rather funky set-up and intriguing light fixtures, which were designed and created by Earl Pinto in Collingwood. The menu has an extensive selection of dishes to share (zensai), which go well with their...

I've heard so much about Lentil As Anything, and I don't live too far away so I'm not sure why I haven't come earlier. There isn't any rule on when to deposit the pay-as-you-feel payment; some people paid before they'd eaten. With the payment system there's a huge reliance on honesty and fairness and I would hope the majority of people would pay appropriately though, unfortunately, I'm sure there are a few who do not. Remember it's going towards a good cause! It's quite a big space with both seating...

I've finally gotten around to visiting Three Bags Full, despite the fact that I've been living only a 5 minute drive away for more than 10 years. K and I arrived at 10am, which turned out to be better than the original time of 11am. By the time we left at 11:30 there was quite a queue.
