Middle Fish is only a few doors down from Seven Seeds on Berkeley Street; an area mostly made up of commercial buildings and what appear to be warehouses. It seems a somewhat unlikely location for a restaurant and it's grey facade is easy to miss, however, on entering we found ourselves in a completely different place. Its warm and casual interior design was incredibly inviting. We ordered a couple of dishes to share amongst the group and awaited our much anticipated feast. The fish cake was smooth, with a...

Jinda Thai has a strong reputation for affordable and tasty Thai food and it was time to see what the fuss was about. The tables are very close together and even small tables are aligned to make a sort of communal table. I guess they really have to maximise the space to accommodate the crowds! Perusing the menu, I was drawn to the the boat noodles and the som tum with soft shell crab, and not just because they're popular dishes. I chose beef to go with the boat...

Right on the corner of Gertrude and Fizroy St, Mighty Boy Eatery serves up Asian-inspired breakfast and lunches for us to enjoy. The dish already had some spiciness from the tabasco, but tables are also provided with a variety of different pickled chillies, flaked chilli...

Limerick Arms is a popular traditional pub with a variety of seating: bistro, bar and outdoors. As well as the regular menu, they had a pasta, salad and pie daily specials available. Similar to other pubs they have various lunch and dinner specials offered during the week. It appeared that most people came here for the chicken parmas, particularly the Mexican parma, and it did look very good. We were warned that there would be a 45 minute wait on the food as it was quite busy. The...

This year marks the debut of the Night Noodle Markets in Melbourne, after many years of being run in Hyde Park in Sydney. Following the Night Noodle Markets in Sydney last month, Melbourne's version will run for two weeks, featuring around 30 food stalls. Whilst not quite as expansive as the one in Sydney, it was probably a good number for testing the waters. Knowing that the crowds would eventually make lining up only for the tenacious, we planned to arrive at 5pm. It had been quite a nice,...
