Right on the corner of Gertrude and Fizroy St, Mighty Boy Eatery serves up Asian-inspired breakfast and lunches for us to enjoy. The roti wraps sounded interesting, but are only available at lunchtime (after 12pm).

House Baked Eggs ($14)

I decided to try out the baked eggs, which came with mushrooms, tomatoes, spanish onion, house-made Thai sausage, thai basil, coriander, feta and tabasco. The dish already had some spiciness from the tabasco, but tables are also provided with a variety of different pickled chillies, flaked chilli and a large bottle of sriracha for people that want more. The thai sausage was short, almost like a large meatball and is a mix of pork and beef.

House Baked Eggs ($14)

Adding even more substance was another ingredient that I couldn’t quite identify, but were a bit like mashed lentils. They’d soaked up a lot of the sauce and were rather tasty. I did think one of the eggs was cooked more than I’d like, but it was nice seeing something different from the typical brunch offerings seen nowadays and I enjoyed the fusion flavours of these baked eggs more than I thought!
