A bit of creativity can go a long way, and at Basco you’ll find Mexican food infused with Asian flavours.
Before the tacos arrive, we dig into some Fuku Wedges – sweet potato and eggplant with two different sauces. The miso sauce goes well with the super crispy crumbed eggplant, and the other is a great match with the sweet potato. The Viet Corn is plenty juicy, and putting it together with nuoc cham, fresh chilli, shallots, and fresh herbs really creates some lovely, fresh flavours.
The 4-hour roast duck taco with hoisin is my favourite, but the refreshing, lighter Barramundi also go down well. The KFC taco has some very spicy gochujang (which has already been toned down for the local palate!) but it’s one of their more popular options.
Mexican-Asian might sound a little weird at first, but Basco shows that it can work. Come down for their tasty tacos and more.
