As part of the opening weekend of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Southgate held the Southgate Fiesta, involving live music performances, free movie screenings and $15 tasting platters from participating restaurants. For $55, The Waiting Room offers a daily afternoon tea with Jing Tea and Vittoria Coffee and featuring the usual categories of hot savouries, sandwiches, sweets and scones. We started with the top tier of crab and leek vol-au-vent and ricotta cheese filled zucchini flowers. Crown is currently holding a promotion around the theme of 'the colours of Cuba', involving Salsa dance lessons and Cuban-themed cocktails and food menus available at selected venues.
