A2 and I took a trip to Grill'd to use an Entertainment Book voucher before it expired. A2 ordered a Garden Goodness veggie burger ($11.50), whilst I decided to go for one of the three new burgers on the menu: Hot Hombre ($12.50). Off to Zen for Mother's Day, a cosy little Japanese restaurant on Burwood Road. Me - Grilled teriyaki unagi ($23.90) A2 - Miso salmon grilled in foil ($20.90) Mum - Kaiseki bento ($27.90) Dad - Wafu steak ($23.90) There was also a large selection of sake available, and the menu included a short description of each one. This even was a wedding reception held at the Melbourne Aquarium in the Coral Atoll (room). Picking off the main menu I chose a dish using my favourite fish, salmon: pan-fried salmon with citrus salad. The fish itself was cooked nicely i.e. not too overdone. The salad may have been lemon or lime juice in it (I forget now), but the main flavour in the salad was from the mint. This place just opened nearby, so we went to check it out. Mum's been here before so she knew what to order. This is what we shared: - Large Beef Pho ($9.50) - Special Broken Rice w.
