Before I came I planned to only have 4, maybe 5 plates, however, when I got there I ended up totally pigging out and spending nearly double what I originally intended. Sushi Hotaru is located on level 1 in Mid-City Arcade, between Bourke and Lt Bourke Street (closer to the Lt Bourke side). The entrance to Mamasita is a very discreet door next to a 7-Eleven, with the actual restaurant located on the floor above it. I arrived about 5 minutes before 12pm so I joined the short queue out the front. When the doors opened everyone was seated quickly; I got a seat at the bar, very close to the open kitchen. Time for my return to try Maha's famous lamb burger. Previously $15, the burger and beer deal has sinced increased to $18. The burger of the month for August is lamb burger with candied olive mayo, onion rings, basturma and kefalograviera with a 33cl Efes Pilsen beer, imported from Greece. The fluffy and slightly sweet tasting buns had been toasted on one side and the patty was charred but still moist. Hoho's Canteen is a new-ish store located within the Melbourne University Parkville campus, next to Pronto's Pizza in the Union House building. Maha is a funky and modern space with a semi-open kitchen. It was quite popular today; soon after I entered at 12pm, it was filled with a large group of Telstra workers and shortly afterwards, a group of Western Bulldogs staff.
