This was once Lalage Café, which proffered more Greek fare, but owners Roulla Saisanas and James Limneos wanted to do something more fresh and modern. They re-entered the brunch scene with Mr & Mrs Anderson, operating under a farm-to-plate structure and working with a farm in Moe who supplies their herbs and vegetables. The new fit out is filled with light, courtesy of their position on a corner block and liberal use of full-length windows. It's now summer, and time for new dishes to hit the menu at Sardi. There are a few additions, but three in particular catch our eye, and there's something new for everyone. The more traditional cafe-goer gets a new Eggs Benny. Ham hock, broccolini and eggs are piled on top of brioche and slathered in an apple cider and asparagus hollandaise. It's a tasty and different take on the benedict....

There's no shortage of food on Glenferrie Road, and new eateries are popping up all the time. It only opened last year, but the burgers at The Resistance have been well received by many. To accompany your burgers there are beer battered chips and sweet potato fries, or you might go for something different like the tapioca fries with Peruvian dip. Not into burgers? They have all day pancakes too....
