Today will probably be the last of the restaurant vouchers we're using out of the 2011-2012 Entertainment Book. I haven't been to Schnitz before, so it was a nice surprise to find out I could substitute the Schnitz for non-crumbed chicken fillets. Both A2 and I chose the same thing: a Vegged Out Wrap - Moroccan spiced non-crumbed chicken fillets with roasted vegetables, Spanish onion and tzatziki. I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the wrap, which looked a lot more appetising than the photo I...

A2 and I took a trip to Grill'd to use an Entertainment Book voucher before it expired. A2 ordered a Garden Goodness veggie burger ($11.50), whilst I decided to go for one of the three new burgers on the menu: Hot Hombre ($12.50). It's a chicken burger with spicy black bean salsa, cheese, avocado, tomato, Spanish onion and a tortilla chip. After flashing my student ID I also managed to score a free drink (available on Mondays and Tuesdays). The veggie pattie was very...

Today the Hawthorn Spudbar store had a free upgrade to sweet potato - a saving of $1.80. Both A2 and I got custom-made spuds. Me - spinach, mushrooms, pumpkin, a double helping of tabouli (quinoa, bourghal, chopped almonds, sultanas and mint leaves) with their special balsamic vinegar and honey dressing A2 - spinach, mushrooms, cheese, pumpkin, tabouli, tomatoes The spud was chopped into bits with a pair of scissors then the toppings were added on top. I noticed that the black and red dine-in bowls looked very similar to the ones...

This time I tried the beef filling in soft tacos. Not that it was bad, but I think I like the pork better. The picante sauce was the hottest salsa they have available. While it did make me a bit sniffly it wasn't incredibly spicy. The tacos were messier to eat than the burritos I had last time and there was sauce going everywhere even with the double taco layers.
