On arrival at the apartment, we realised that the German Market had already opened even though it was only 5pm (someone earlier had told us it opened at 7pm). Around the old part of town some of the roads were quite narrow and mainly for foot traffic. From a small bakery we bought rye and caraway bread for ₤1.60, and later got a traditional (beef and potato) pastie for ₤2 from an ‘award winning’ cornish pastie shop. Cotswold is apparently famous for its sandstone houses. It seemed like quite a nice town. At a local bakery A2 bought a ricotta and spinach pastry, dad had a pie and I got a granary cob, which was a multigrain wholemeal loaf.
