We arrived at around 10:30am on a weekday, and despite the cloudy and slightly drizzly weather, it was quite busy. I ordered the Dukkah eggs - mushrooms, spinach, feta with poached eggs and dukkah on multigrain sourdough bread ($15.5). Tasty mushroom plus runny eggs and good bread made this dish quite enjoyable. The pulled pork sandwich (BBQ braised berkshire pork shoulder with red cabbage slaw on brioche, $14) was also nice, though A2 thought the pulled lamb sandwich from their previous menu may have been better. Located on the corner of Church St and Lincoln St, Tree of Us mainly serves burgers, though they also do breakfast and coffee. I ordered the Fish Burger with crumbed rockling with tomato, lettuce, beetroot, dill mayo and pickle ($15). A2 had the Sweetpea Burger, which was a spiced, sweet potato and chickpea pattie with beetroot relish, caramelised onion, garlic aioli, lettuce ($14). I tasted some of the sweet potato/chickpea pattie and it was quite nice. I'd imagine it would taste pretty good with the other ingredients and A2...

Collective Espresso is located just off Bourke Road, next to Camberwell Station. Numerous prints lining the walls and the bag hooks for staff give this cafe a warm, homely and welcoming vibe. There are bars seats along the window and near the kitchen, one small table and a long communal table that could accommodate at least 16 people. Today I had the emu burger, which came with cabbage remoulade, cheddar, mustard and pickles on a brioche bun. The tasty emu pattie was slightly dry, particularly around the edges, but the cheddar and...

After dinner, K and I ventured one block east to try out Gelato Messina. The impressive, modern and sleek shopfront houses a cabinet showcasing around 40 different flavours of gelato and sorbet as well as some of their gelato cakes, such as the Black Forest (as seen on Masterchef) and Dr Evil's Magic Mushroom.  The line wasn't too long when we entered, but after spending some time perusing the varieties on offer, the store was packed. Fortunately the staff were efficient and the queue was cleared quickly. Both of us...

This was my second visit to Madame Sousou, but this time I came to try their dinner options. K went with the tasty Confit Duck Leg. I had the Poisson Du Jour with butter, zucchini and olives. Today's fish was swordfish, which was cooked beautifully. I enjoyed the way the ingredients worked together, particularly with the citrus butter, though at times I did feel the olives sometimes overpowered the more subtle flavour of the swordfish...
