16 Sep Terror Twilight, Collingwood
Terror Twilight is a far cry from its old self. Bedford Street offered hearty meals, with its signature being fried chicken sandwiches and waffles. Taking a complete turn, Terror Twilight dances one opposite site of the spectrum between healthy and sinfully indulgent.
Bowls and broths are their main thing. You pick the base and add on the optional proteins and sides. Today on our menu are two bowls with the Quinoa and Freekeh base, and different sides – spiced cauliflower, pickled beets, roasted sweet potato, sprouts, seeds, and a thick cashew sauce, and one with the heirloom tomato salad, avocado, poached eggs and roasted mushrooms.
My choice of meal is the Cold Smoked Kingfish with asparagus, miso butter, puffed grain togarashi, poached egg. There’s a bit of spice, and a bit of crunch. Everything is so tasty in combination – it’s a good pick.
It’s only a small café, and having recently won the TimeOut award for best new café, Terror Twilight is likely to be even harder to secure a seat in.
