During lunchtime, Darac's most popular menu item by far is their lunch special, which consists of rice/fried noodles, a main e.g. bulgogi, teriyaki and a side. Mamak is best known for its roti, but today I thought I'd go for the lamb murtabak (with cabbage, egg and onion $12). Before I came I planned to only have 4, maybe 5 plates, however, when I got there I ended up totally pigging out and spending nearly double what I originally intended. Sushi Hotaru is located on level 1 in Mid-City Arcade, between Bourke and Lt Bourke Street (closer to the Lt Bourke side). Brunch today was Shakshouka (baked eggs with roasted peppers and shanklish, $16). Alone, the roasted peppers would have been quite salty but when eaten with the eggs the balance was perfect. The shanklish, a type of cheese, added some bite and I wish there was more of it. The entrance to Mamasita is a very discreet door next to a 7-Eleven, with the actual restaurant located on the floor above it.
