I quite like saltimbocca so I thought I'd give it a go here. What came out was not what I'd been visualising when I ordered. It seemed like the ham had been tossed with the veal rather than being layered on top and I also couldn't see any sage leaves. Pho Nom opened last month in the new Emporium shopping centre on Lansdale St. Their most popular menu items appeared to be the pho, rice paper rolls and banh mi, though they also serve some bún (vermicelli rice noodles) and cơm (rice) dishes, spring rolls and salads. Grill'd have recently launched new sliders and sides at all stores and to kick it off, they were giving out vouchers to try 3 sliders for $10 (instead of $15). The three chosen today were: Beef with cheese, mustard and pickle; Beef with pomegranate and mild wasabi slaw; Chicken with Asian slaw and roasted peanuts. Located on the corner of Hardware Lane and Little Lonsdale St, Gypsy & Pig is a kurobuta (aka black pig or Berkshire pork) and tonkatsu specialist. It's a cozy little place mainly made up of bar seats arranged around the kitchen.
