JD's Burgers in its present form has been around for about a year when Daniel took the helm. It seems to be a family affair, with his parents as owners, and his sister Brenda also having a hands-on role in the store. Ora is still as popular as ever, especially now that it's been voted Melbourne's best food cafe of 2014 by the Good Cafe Guide. I've been longing to visit Mister Bianco ever since Svago closed down, hearing many good things about its tasty Southern Italian fare. I did want to try Svago too, but obviously that opportunity is long gone. Being a function space as well as a restaurant, The Boulevard has a simple but modern open space next to the wine bar. It's next to the 9-hole Studley Park Golf Course and has a nice view of the city, or at least whatever is visible above the tree line. Under new owners, the former Fred Young of Kew has recently been renovated and transformed into Now & Then Café. Robert Castellani has also taken over as head chef.
