There's no shortage of food on Glenferrie Road, and new eateries are popping up all the time. It only opened last year, but the burgers at The Resistance have been well received by many. To accompany your burgers there are beer battered chips and sweet potato fries, or you might go for something different like the tapioca fries with Peruvian dip. Not into burgers? Basketball fans would feel right at home at Dribbles Burgers. Silhouette decals, hoops set into the walls, netting and bright yellow lighting all add to the atmosphere. The tables look they've been made out of stadium court flooring, and there are even games played on the big screen to enjoy while scoffing down your meal....

BurgerBurger is a local burger joint on the shopping strip on Union Road, family owned and operated by Nesh and Leena Rakhra. The warm, comfortable interior has a mixture of tables and bar seats, both at front windows, and at the back past the stoves. I did make the mistake of sitting near the windowed dishwashing room, and experienced the fragrance of dishwashing detergent mixed in with my burgers...

The Burger Block has now taken over JD's, but thankfully it's still family owned. Bits of influence from various Asian countries like Japan, Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong and Indonesia are infused into the burger menu, whether that's through the sauces, spices, marinades or ingredients included in the mix.
