The hotel had a free shuttle bus service into the city. From the drop-off point, Campo de' Fiori (the square with the Bruno statue) was only a few minutes away. From behind a florist we bought pizza from Forno, which charges pizza by weight. We bought half an eggplant pizza for €3.30 and it was really good. Lunch was at a self-service place again. We got pumpkin risotto (€4.20), fish sauce/stock with a small, long, hollow pasta (€5.20) and a meat and mushroom tomato based sauce with a thick noodle pasta (€5.20). The risotto was a bit too cheesy and rich so I couldn’t finish it. At the shop there was a giant box of chocolate (6 blocks in a pack) of hazelnut chocolate for €14.90. When we got out of the Glass factory we looked for a place to eat. Mum wanted to get take away pizza because she didn’t want to pay a cover charge, but we ended up eating in a restaurant anyway. We got seafood tagliatelle (€16), fisherman’s risotto (€14) and prosciutto pizza (€9.50). The bread we were given was rolled and looked like mantou. We joined the €66 excursion tonight: ‘Venetian Night Out with Dinner’. We met in the lobby at 5:50pm and proceeded to the ‘parking island’ by coach. From there we caught a water taxi to Venice city. We were quite squashed inside the taxi. Two people had to stand outside with the driver. We opened up the roof of the back part of the boat so the people there could stand up. Lunch was at a Marche/Burger King Worthersee, which was a self-service place. This place was right next to the warmest lake in Austria, the water of which can reach up to 22-23°C in summer. The view with the lake would have been nice except it was snowing so everything was grey.
