With a number of successful restaurants already under its belt, Dosa Hut recently expanded to the CBD, bringing South Indian cuisine to the city. Though it might be quiet on the streets in this part of town, business is often booming, especially during peak lunch and dinner hour. This was once Lalage Café, which proffered more Greek fare, but owners Roulla Saisanas and James Limneos wanted to do something more fresh and modern. They re-entered the brunch scene with Mr & Mrs Anderson, operating under a farm-to-plate structure and working with a farm in Moe who supplies their herbs and vegetables. The new fit out is filled with light, courtesy of their position on a corner block and liberal use of full-length windows. Gough Amontha and Sutinee Suntivatana made the move from Hobart to Melbourne, transforming what was once a motorcycle shop into this newly opened cafe.
