This restaurant reminded me of a cheap, family friendly restaurant like Sofia's, mainly because the waiters were wearing hoodies. I got a vegetarian calzone with eggplant, zucchini, mushrooms and chicory (€7.50), dad ordered spaghetti carbonara (€6.50) and mum ordered linguini al pesto (€6.50) and tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and clams (€9). The hotel had a free shuttle bus service into the city. From the drop-off point, Campo de' Fiori (the square with the Bruno statue) was only a few minutes away. From behind a florist we bought pizza from Forno, which charges pizza by weight. We bought half an eggplant pizza for €3.30 and it was really good. Lunch was at a self-service place again. We got pumpkin risotto (€4.20), fish sauce/stock with a small, long, hollow pasta (€5.20) and a meat and mushroom tomato based sauce with a thick noodle pasta (€5.20). The risotto was a bit too cheesy and rich so I couldn’t finish it. At the shop there was a giant box of chocolate (6 blocks in a pack) of hazelnut chocolate for €14.90. Our dinner was in the hotel restaurant again. Appetiser: salad with the red radish we saw displayed outside the restaurant last night, dressed with olive oil Entrée: penne bolognaise Mains: chicken with vegetables (capsicum, eggplant, broccoli) Dessert: frozen ice cream with almonds and a sticky, brown sauce drizzled on top.
