After making a worldwide impression, South Korea's Milkcow has now landed in Australia, at least for a short time via its pop-up in The Strand. Collaborating with local businesses, Milkcow allows for our ice cream to be matched a selection of toppings, sauces and other little goodies. Chocolate is supplied by Naked Truth Chocolates, coffee is from Sensory Lab, and other sweet options include caramel popcorn, honeycomb, macarons, and Insta-worthy fairy floss. Four years ago Matteo Bruno opened The Meatball & Wine Bar with the intention of focusing on one thing and doing it well. Using the high quality and seasonal ingredients, they pumped out their signature meatballs with great acclaim. The CBD branch of Meatball and Wine Bar, aka CityBalls, has been followed by SmithBalls (Fitzroy) and RichBalls (Richmond) following its success. Mauritius is a small island east of Madagascar and the cuisine there has been subject to French, Chinese and Indian influences. There's something about Peruvian cuisine that I love. There's fresh vibrancy as well as flavoursome marinades. Then there's the fact that there's a variety of influences from Japanese and Chinese cuisine, creating a natural fusion of flavours. Established mid-2014, the owners behind San Telmo, Dave and Micky Parker and Jason and Renee McConnell, brought on Ben Wood as manager to create Pastuso - a modern Peruvian grill, cevicheria and pisco bar, with Alejandro Saravia as both head chef and co-owner. The dark and generally moody interior has all sorts of...

China Spice is tucked on the corner of Little Lonsdale on Sutherland St, so could easily be missed on the way to the little sweets oasis that is Shortstop, N2 and Raw Trader.  It doesn't seem to garner rave reviews online, but sometimes ratings are misleading. My parents and a number of our family friends like it here so I was brought along for lunch one day. I noticed some menu items were more Malaysian, which was a bit odd. Perhaps the chef is Malaysian, but in any...
