The small and cosy Two Little Pigs cafe and deli is dedicated to all things pork and charcuterie. Deli meats hang at the back and are up for sale, and the menu is pork-based, as expected. Sandwiches include Pulled Pork with hickory smoked pulled pork, maple, coleslaw and hot sauce mayo, and the crispy Roasted Pork Belly Roll with coleslaw and mustard aioli. The amount of pork belly in this roll makes it one for deconstructing.

Some of us decide to balance all the pork with some vegetables. Pork and potatoes go well together, so we have the Roast Sweet Potato with beetroot gazpacho, feta mousse, toasted pecans, and a tatsoi and radish salad. A simple preparation, but well executed.

The Pea & Ham comes with roasted pork belly and poached free range eggs, sitting in a pool of green pea veloute. Unlike in pea and ham soup, the pork element is supersized. The skin that tops the large rectangle of juicy meat is perfectly crispy, and the veloute is well seasoned.

Instead of being piled high with sweet ingredients, the soft Loaded Waffle is stacked with a tasty, salty and sweet combination of BBQ pulled pork, grilled cheddar, maple bacon pieces, pork crackle, and house made maple BBQ sauce. It’s large and filling, best for sharing, or for those with big appetites.

With generous servings, a good range of pork dishes and well-handled produce at this specialty cafe, Two Little Pigs is the pork-lover’s dream.
