The Crossed Keys, York, England

Mum saw a 2-course meal special at a restaurant for ₤6.95 somewhere around the Minster. We were going to go there for lunch, but couldn’t find it later. I thought it was just after we exited the roman wall, but it wasn’t. So instead, we went into Crossed Keys, which is a pub. Mum and I got grilled salmon with mash and peas and garlic butter sauce, dad got rump steak with mash and peas and A2 got two Belgian waffles with chocolate sauce and ice cream. The grills were on special because Wednesday is grill day, so with a drink they came to ₤5.90 each. The waffles were ₤2.80. The waiter accidentally gave dad the wrong dish; one with chips instead of mash. While dad went to get cutlery, mum, A2 and I stole a chip each from his plate. When dad returned, the waiter realised his mistake and swapped the dish for the right one, which meant the rightful owner of the steak with chips was missing some of his meal.
