18 Mar OneThirtyTwo, Windsor
OneThirtyTwo is a relatively new cafe, taking over the space that used to be Mileto’s. The owners want to keep the food simple and honest, without too much fanciness. An impressive array of baked goods are on display next to the to-go cabinet, and even more impressively, they’re all homemade.
The Smashed Avocado comes as a generous serve, decorated with plenty of fresh and juicy heirloom tomatoes, sunflower seeds, feta and an oozy poached egg. Colourful and tasty.
After a week of many nights eating out I feel like having something clean. Their Green Bowl contains edamame, quinoa, sauteed greens and mashed avocado. I add smoked salmon as an extra, and it creates a whole new level of flavour and seasoning to the dish, especially since so much of it is given. I don’t often order things like this, and I feel surprisingly satisfied.
Although OneThirtyTwo is a no-frills, back to basics sort of cafe, the dishes tried today were fine examples of simple things done well.
