I had a Groupon voucher for Movenpick and the 34C degree day today made it the perfect time to use it. I’d visited previously and loved the hazelnut. I did taste the pistachio, which is another of my favourite flavours of gelato but didn’t enjoy it so much.

Mango Sorbet and Espresso Croquant Ice Cream ($6.95)

The mango sorbet was more dense than other sorbets I’ve had and also contained little pieces of Alfonso mango. The Espresso Croquant ice cream was slightly bitter, as expected, but not overly so. Tiny bits of hazelnut helped break up the intensity. I haven’t had gourmet ice cream before, or at least not that I remember. I have to say I still prefer the softer and smoother flavours of gelato.
