For this visit I decided to try one of the dishes on their ‘signature menu’. This was sake-poached blue grenadier with soba, snow peas and carrots. I thought there’d only be one fish fillet, but to my surprise there were two. Unfortunately there wasn’t much taste in the fish and I couldn’t tell there was sake in it. At least the fish wasn’t overcooked. The vegetables were just boiled/blanched. The soba had the nice chewy texture to it and the broth was tasty; it just wasn’t in the fish. I wouldn’t pay $23 for it, and even with the discount voucher I had, I would have preferred a tastier meal from a cheaper restaurant.
