Chinatown’s newest pan-Asian restaurant, Niübi aims to present authentic South-East Asian flavours in heartwarming dishes, within a relaxed atmosphere. At the moment the menu leans a little more towards Malaysian/Singaporean dishes. As well as an a la carte menu there are also some set meals, which are recommended for 2-3 people....

Hey Little Fishy opened just before lockdowns in Melbourne came in, and thankfully it has made it out the other side. Their food is full of flavour, from the buttery, garlicky, well-seasoned vegetables to the tangy tartare sauce. Seafood is handled with care, and their crunchy batter and crumb encases produce that is not over-cooked - prawns, scallops and of course, flake, are all good....

Otto has now become Riché - still with the same team behind it. Brunch staples such as porridge, French toast and fritters feature on the menu, but you'll also find things a little fancier like barramundi and lamb in red curry. Reading through the menu you'll realise that there are touches of Asian influence dotted through....

Undercover Roasters opened their brand new HQ in Abbotsford a few months ago, just after Melbourne came out of lockdown 2.0. Its industrial look softened by greenery, and even though it's a large space with high ceilings, it doesn't feel cold or uninviting. It's a beautiful space, and not just a place to buy coffee and coffee gear, but also plants for sale....
