Time for a revisit, but this time I tried the Kid Royale (Smoked Hickory Rub, Slow Roasted Beef w. Onion Jam, Honey Dijon, Baby Spinach, Crispy Onion Rings). If the Brklyn was difficult to eat, this one was even harder with the onion rings sitting on top. I ate them separately. The slow roasted beef was very moist and tender and I enjoyed the flavours of the Kid Royale more than the Brklyn.[caption id="attachment_5119" align="aligncenter" width="529"] Kid Royale[/caption]Hero 1 Stewart St Melbourne, VIC, 3000 (03) 9995 4655 http://www.herosubs.com.au/...

Today's lunch was a Moroccan Lamb burger, consisting of prime lamb patty, grilled pumpkin, roasted red capsicum, hommous and aioli. When I first received the burger I was a bit confused because there was tomato in it. Only after asking one of the staff about it, I realised it came with salad. I did discover that it was missing the pumpkin though, so I had that added in. The burger wasn't really bad, but was generally underwhelming and a tad dry. I managed to score a free burger through the Grill'd Meatwave promotion. Out of the selection of burgers offered through the deal I picked the Simon Says, which contains grilled chicken breast, avocado, crispy trim bacon, salad, relish & herbed mayo. It was a pretty good burger; tasty and not too dry, but I have to say I still like the Baa Baa burger the best. Special birthday celebrations are good cause for visiting quality restaurants, so we booked a table for the newly re-opened No. 8, now under the helm of John Lawson. I've heard so much about Lentil As Anything, and I don't live too far away so I'm not sure why I haven't come earlier. There isn't any rule on when to deposit the pay-as-you-feel payment; some people paid before they'd eaten. With the payment system there's a huge reliance on honesty and fairness and I would hope the majority of people would pay appropriately though, unfortunately, I'm sure there are a few who do not. Remember it's going towards a good cause! It's quite a big space with both seating...
