Traditional made way for modern when Toko evolved into Tokosan last year. Now a contemporary and vibrant restaurant and bar, Tokosan offers great cocktails and bites including the Salmon Inside Out Roll and the little crunchy morsels that are the Tempura Oysters.
The Sweet Eggplant Miso has a good and strong miso flavour, with good caramelisation on the surface, and is spicer than expected. The Pork Ribs with teriyaki sauce are not overly sweet liked we’d feared. They’re done very well – so succulent and flavoursome. The tofu and sour cream sauce is a fresh addition, though the ribs are delicious as they are.
Tokosan’s karaoke room and undercover beer garden make it a versatile venue, and specials like $1 oyster nights on Mondays are sure to draw in the crowds.
