Rustica has just opened its newest location – this one is the second Canteen in CBD, located in the Rialto Towers.
With the whole cafe being housed under Rialto’s glass wings, you can enjoy natural daylight without the heat or rain. Rustica Rialto offers everything Rustica is renowned for: pastries, artisan breads and cafe fare. There are also ‘grab and go’ items such as salads and sandwiches, well suited to the many professionals working nearby.

If you’ve got time to sit down for a meal, there are options including Blueberry Porridge, Avocado on Sourdough, or their new Dill Cured Ocean Trout with chilli labneh, garlic pangrattato and heirloom vegetable salad.

For something larger, the Spiced Lobster Eggs Benedict might fit the bill. The unexpectedly big charcoal brioche bun is filled with fresh lobster, greens, two poached eggs, and quite a spicy sriracha hollandaise.

Of course, Rustica’s pastries and cakes are pretty as always, and are perfect as a sweet end to a meal, an accompaniment for your coffee, or as an on-the-run snack.

Rustica Rialto might have a more upmarket feel than its sisters thanks to the use of marble and brass in its design, but at its core it’s still the same – a solid food menu, great bread and delicious pastries. A tiger never changes its stripes, and here it’s definitely a good thing.
