South Korean soft-serve chain Milkcow had a successful pop-up store last year, and now they’ve come to stay. Grab a cone or cup of their light and creamy organic soft serve across the road from QV, choosing from a roster of 13 different flavours.

Their store also has waffles, which weren’t available previously. As with the ice cream, the waffles can be pimped up with toppings, from jelly beans, caramel popcorn, nuts and syrups, to the insta-worthy fairy floss clouds, and now macarons too. Their signature is the Milky Cube with a cube of honeycomb, but I’m drawn to things with chocolate and coffee so my pick is the Avalanche. Pour out the coffee shot and witness the fairy floss collapse and reveal the chocolate espresso balls and ice cream underneath. It can be a bit messy if not aimed right (hence the plate), but I love the combination of coffee with the smooth and milky soft serve.

We might be coming to the end of a cold summer, but for ice cream lovers, there’s no season where you can’t enjoy one.
