This place just opened nearby, so we went to check it out. Mum’s been here before so she knew what to order. This is what we shared:
– Large Beef Pho ($9.50)
– Special Broken Rice w. Pork, Egg, Vermicelli-Fungus-Pork Meatloaf, Julienned Chicken etc. ($10)

We accidentally ordered the char-grilled chicken broken rice instead of the special broken rice and didn’t realise until it arrived at the table. Although we offered to take it away and order an extra dish, they kindly changed it over.

I haven’t had much Vietnamese food in the past, so I can’t comment on how authentic the dishes were, but they had a good flavour. I particularly enjoyed the pho, which came with a very generous about of beef.

I think this restaurant will do well. The cheap prices will appeal to uni students (particularly Swinburne, which is not far away) and provides a nice alternative to the other fast-food restaurants on Glenferrie Rd. It’s also a good option for those craving Vietnamese food but are unwilling to face the horrors of parking around Victoria St…
