So, I’m not a huge ice cream person but a combination of factors such as the hot weather, Helados Juaja being almost directly opposite the bus stop and also the fact that the bus wasn’t coming for another 10 minutes, all led to me making the impulse decision to get some Argentinian-style ice cream.

I settled on the Toasted Black Sesame (which takes three days to make) and Cookies & Cream ($7.50). The afternoon sun was so intense that the ice cream started melting and dripping everywhere almost as soon as I walked away from the store; I had to eat it pretty quickly so as to enjoy its smooth and satisfying texture. It was quite expensive, but I think it’s worth it every once in a while.
