I had a church event starting at 9am, so it was the perfect opportunity to come for the weekend menu at Hardware Societe. The last time I came the waitress suggested coming at 8:30am because it would get very busy. I got to the cafe just after 8:30am and it was already packed! This time I arrived at around 10:20am and there was a bit of a queue. Fortunately, because I was brunching solo I only had to wait about 10 minutes for a seat at a round communal table. I came really early today and it's a weekday during school/uni semester so there wasn't any queue. The dish I was hoping to try was the croque madame (smoked salmon, gruyere, horseradish creme fraiche and fried duck egg), but it didn't appear on the menu. Apparently they changed their menu last week so I came too late.
