Worker's Lunch Menu

Worker’s Lunch Menu

Our group booking was for more than 8 people, so we had to either choose the $45 banquet menu or go for the $15 worker’s lunch. We opted for the latter. The menu has changed since I last visited.

Charcoal Grilled Corn w. Dried Maize

Charcoal Grilled Corn w. Dried Maize

The topping on the grilled corn was maize rather than paprika, but like last time, the corn was juicy and was even more delicious with the crunchy topping. The cauliflower and freekeh salad was also slightly different, the most noticeable difference being that it came with almonds instead of pine nuts, but the cauliflower was still wonderfully sweet.

Charcoal Grilled Baby Leeks, Walnut, Mixta Curado & Barley; Freekah & Cauliflower Salad w. Barberries

My choice of racione was the charcoal-grilled baby leeks with wanut, mixta curado and barley. It was quite nice, though not what I’d imagined. There was a creamy base underneath the leeks and somewhat chewy bits on top – maybe the barley? I’m not sure. But the meal is still good value at $15
